Today I will be doing a textual analysis on the shorth film Ripple, this is a story that is all about kindness and being kind to others who are in difficult situations which will at the end return back to us one day.

Scene 1:

camera angels: closeup shot, mid shot, over the shoulder, cowboy shot, extreme closeup

camera movements: pan, tilt

mise-en-scene: supermarket, billing counter, cake corner

edits: straight cut

sound: supermarket background noise, slow moving  sad/depressed song, fast moving happy/excited song, billing machine sound, dialogs

Scene 2:

camera angels: md shot, over the shoulder, closeup shot, wide shot, extreme closeup, cowboy shot

camera movements: tilt, handheld

mise-en-scene: supermarket parking, cake shop

edits: straight cuts

sound: slow moving  sad/depressed song, fast moving happy/excited song, dialogs

Scene 3:

camera angles: wide shot, over the shoulder, mid shot, extreme closeup

camera movements: zoom in, zoom out

mise-en-scene: house, cake shop

edits: stright cuts

sound: fast moving happy/excited song, dialogs

Hell'o, Akhil here!!! We inquired: what precisely constitutes genre? Our fieldwork went beyond mere labels. We took apart romance, "grimdark," and thrillers, laying bare their construction. Textual analysis and reviews demonstrated genre's fluidity. Authorial decisions conflict and intersect with reader expectations. A thriller "drama" is a prime example of this interpretive turn. Cultural contexts profoundly influence genre's development. We argued for the role of marketing in genre reception. Genre innovation emerges from turning tropes on their head. Our research testifies to genre's fluidity, not a fixed entity. It's a messy dance between creator, audience, and society. We call for more research into genre's changing landscape. Today I will be introducing you to all the equipment we used for shooting the opening scene We used our mentor's iPhone 14 Pro as our primary camera which has a  Triple camera setup : 48 MP, f/1.8, 24mm (wide), 1/1.28", 1.22µm, dual pixel PDAF, sensor-shift OIS 12 MP, f/2.8, 77mm (telephoto), 1/3.5", 1.0µm, PDAF, OIS, 3x optical zoom 12 MP, f/2.2, 13mm, 120˚ (ultrawide), 1/2.55", 1.4µm, dual pixel PDAF And can record at 4 K@24/25/30/60fps, 1080p@25/30/60/120/240fps, 10-bit HDR, Dolby Vision HDR (up to 60fps), ProRes, stereo sound rec. We used the 48 MP main sensor to shoot most of the time in 4K@24fps. But at scene 2 during the bottle POV we used the 12MP Ultrawide sensor  We also used our school phone which is a Samsung Galaxy S24 for tests shoots, which also has a Triple camera setup: 50 MP, f/1.8, 24mm (wide), 1/1.56", 1.0µm, dual pixel PDAF, OIS 10 MP, f/2.4, 67mm (telephoto), 1/3.94", 1.0µm,  PDAF, OIS, 3x optical zoom 12 MP, ...
