Hell'o, Akhil here!!! We inquired: what precisely constitutes genre? Our fieldwork went beyond mere labels. We took apart romance, "grimdark," and thrillers, laying bare their construction. Textual analysis and reviews demonstrated genre's fluidity. Authorial decisions conflict and intersect with reader expectations. A thriller "drama" is a prime example of this interpretive turn. Cultural contexts profoundly influence genre's development. We argued for the role of marketing in genre reception. Genre innovation emerges from turning tropes on their head. Our research testifies to genre's fluidity, not a fixed entity. It's a messy dance between creator, audience, and society. We call for more research into genre's changing landscape. Genre unlocks greater understanding of storytelling and culture. Genre Convention.xlsx
Hell'o, Akhil here!!! Today I made the Recce Report for our course work. A Recce Report is a report that summarizes the results of an initial survey or reconnaissance of a given site or area. The main reason for a recce is to obtain vital information firsthand prior to a project, event, or operation being conducted at the site. Treat it as an initial investigation report. Recceing and report preparation assist in planning, the identification of potential issues, feasibility determination, and making informed decisions.
